ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe: All Metal Smartphone

by Edsel Thadeus O. Lorete / http://inslashout.wordpress.com // http://inslashout.blog.com

ASUS, after its top selling Zenfone 2 series in 2015, unleashed more high-end Zenfone 3 smartphones in the Philippines. It is a big shoot up from the relatively mass priced Zenfone 2 smartphones which enjoyed a tremendous mass following last year.

Leading the ASUS mobile phone pack is Zenfone 3 Deluxe. Dubbed the world’s first smartphone made purely of metal (with invisible antenna design), the new Deluxe’s upgrades with a beautiful aluminum alloy unibody with 4.2mm edge, giving out that sheer shine in your hands, more than enough to make heads turn while in use. Rear surface elevates from the typically visible antenna lines originally sported for Apple’s iPhone 6 smartphone.

Deluxe’s 5.7 inch screen settles with standard Full High Definition (HD /1920 by 1080p) with high contrast Super AMOLED display value. It is like your flat screen HD TV placed in one beatifully compact smartphone, with richer colors gamut of over 100% NTSC. It is a perfect phone to screen upgrade for those HD movies you have been meaning to watch even when on foot, inside the cruising bus to Bicol.

Deluxe’s bezel is certainly ultra thinner, sexier for lack of a better word. Just to be precise, Zenfone 3 Deluxe sports a “79% screen-to-body ratio for a maximized HD display in a compact package”. Engine performance is stellar. Deluxe is the world’s first smartphone to use new Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 821 processor with Adreno™ 530 GPU. Phone integrates X12 LTE modem for reliable connectivity. More than everything, and you can expect a swift jump in phone performance, is Deluxe’s 6GB RAM and 256GB ROM. It is great for managing multiple apps, particularly for gaming and video conferencing on say a public Wi-Fi. Performance improves further with a post-paid broadband.

Imaging, be it for selfies and landscapes, raises the bar of DSLR photography with the ZenFone 3 Deluxe. Phone ships with a powerful 23MP camera that feature’s Sony’s IMX318 image sensor, including large f/2.0-aperture lens, and four-axis optical image stabilization (OIS) for high-resolution, blur-free, and low-noise photos in almost any lighting condition.
Professional photography features, and this should make you think twice bringing a bulky DSLR for coverages, further improves with Deluxe’s three-axis electronic image stabilization (EIS).

Feature was designed to keep those 4K UHD videos steady. Autofocus elevates with ASUS TriTech autofocus system. Technology allows smartphone to automatically select second-generation laser, render phase-detection or render continuous autofocus for accurate and near-instant 0.03-second focusing and subject-tracking. ASUS PixelMaster 3.0, which is another in-house designed photography feature ASUS designed for ZenFone series, ensure shot images and videos remain stunningly vivid even in locations with poor lighting conditions.

Security ups with ZenFone 3 Deluxe’s new built-in fingerprint sensor. It is positioned on the phone’s rear point for easier finger access, unlocking phone in a fraction of a second. Charging advances with ASUS quick charging options, basically reducing battery’s recharge time, and while phone’s flashdrive drive upgrades with reversible C-port, making it easier to battery charge while driving.

ZenFone 3 Deluxe re-defines audio sound standard with amazing five magnet speakers, making sound more theatrically surround. If that does not work for you, ASUS invites you to mix your desired sound pitch with NXP smart amplifier for louder, more defined digital sound without damaging speakers. Headphones, particularly third part branded headsets, will get better sound quality. ASUS has included for Deluxe Hi-ReAudio (HRA), a sound technology capable of proviing “four-times-better sound quality than CDs”. Fine tuned ZenEar S earphones is auto bundled with ZenFone 3 Deluxe which has a value of PHP 2,995.

The ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe is a beautiful high-end market pitching smartphone detailed for maximum multitasking performance, providing features that perfectly enhances your merging lifestyle and business needs of modern and wireless digital community in the Philippines.

“The highly anticipated ZenFone 3 series has become a global sensation after its debut at Computex this year,” said ASUS CEO Jerry Shen. “We deeply appreciate the loyalty and continued support from all our dealers, media partners and consumers in the Philippines.” added by Jerry Shen.

OPPO takes third top selling smartphone spot in the Philippines, launches next “selfie expert” smartphone

by Edsel Thadeus O. Lorete / http://inslashout.wordpress.com / http://inslashout.blog.com

In Preview: OPPO F1s (Selfie Expert)

It had to be big! That is what rising smartphone brand OPPO did launching its brightest mainstream smartphone camera. Crisp, fast shooting and definitely Full High Definition (HD) for your next travel videos, the new OPPOF1s might well be the king of the selfie handsets you should buy for your next day-to-day gadget.

But first let us explore what this self-proclaimed “selfie-expert” can really do to get all those selfies charmingly working to your day to day social networking needs. Retaining the beautifully engineered full and thinner and smoothly round metal framing originally introduced in the first F1, which is still a top gadget seller in the Philippines. Talking selfie as the F1s prominent feature, this firmly handheld intended 5.5 inch screen device raises the bar with a 16-megapixel front camera.

The required megapixel for publication normally settles with 5-megapixel (up), which means your getting four times the DSLR camera value for a handset built camera. It is ready to shoot HD crisp images, including videos that is more easy visualizing even on a fluctuating bandwidth reach. It means you get more details, particulary for the eyes, skin color and form – making it more realistic for people conducting business with a handful of business partners taking meeting time from their multitasking handsets.

Rear camera settles with an equally vivid but lower 13-megapixel camera. We have tested either camers on foot, indoor and outdoors, and what we have is both camera’s ability to adapt through natural colors, including brightness which you can pinch for extra clarity. It is like the eye squinting to get a fairer perspective of a moving subject wearing colorful clothing.
Shooting is noticeably faster, none of the grab lags that forces camera to miss shoot moods, particularly for actions shots like a fashion show, a marathon. Camera actively settles where it is being closely aimed, getting you perfect facial expressions for digital stills. It is meticulous in handling details not just for impression but for colors, including depth of field, which is not easy getting for a smartphone.

The OPPOF1s settles with an MT6750 octa-core processor, which is standard for smartphones intended for heavy multitasking. What is great this engine, when we were testing camera for HD videos, is that it is compatible with program demand for heavy interaction. It means that whether you are using four apps, and even while adding two more third party social networking apps, which normally eats up a phone’s computing capacity, the phone’s factory widgets retains normal functionality without lags.

Feature is helpful  for people using camera for publication, sending images for e-mail deployment. Facebook, including Twitter and Instagram, works smoothly even when taking images for uploads. Videos, depending on your bandwidth take daily, will take a minute more to stream. RAM ups with 3-gigabytes of space, adding flexy pointers for apps competing for processing time with your phone’s factory apps. It works with NBA2k16 rather efficiently, no visible lags in between 3-pointer shoots. It means that if you are habitually shifting apps the OPPOF1s will not dissappoint you.

The phone can slow down with less RAM space eventually. It is a normal phasing for Android devices that you can overhaul initially equally programming management. The F1s is not a music player intended device. It does play crisp HD classified music files, even with Blutooth speakers sound quality would stream out theatric HD.

OPPO kit for F1s include  standard flip cover and glass protection (which you would not need since phone sports Gorilla Glass 4). The F1, for those using a variety of telco sims, ships with a dual micro and regular sim tray. Battery is 3075 mAh, fast charges fairly in 60 minutes. The battery is non-removable.

“It’s amazing how the F1s lets you capture selfies the way you want them to look,” said OPPO Brand Marketing Manager for the Philippines Stephen Cheng during the F1s launch at Pico de Loro, Batangas last August 11. “We wanted to offer a phone that gives selfie lovers a satisfying photo experience, and I think the new model does just that.”

Adding to its sheer power, the F1s runs on the latest version of OPPO’s ColorOS, a proprietary Android skin. While the camera itself is an impressive piece of hardware, OPPO F1s’ built-in Beautify 4.0 software allows users to readily tweak their photos on the fly. Screen management is easy. Finger screen touch is mooth, again no ages when managing two or more service complimenting apps.

The OPPOF1s will start pre-selling from August 11 to 18, no specifics which telco the OPPOF1s is supporting.
Installment purchase is honored, but you can exclusively do this through International finance company Home Credit, which is reportedly offering the F1s via an affordable six-month installment plan for as low as P2,165 at zero percent interest.

“Home Credit aims to bring smiles to many Filipino customers as we offer the newest OPPO F1S at very affordable installments,” said Home Credit Philippines’ Head of Sales, Adam Bernasek. “We are thrilled to be partnering with OPPO once again, and we look forward to helping even more Filipinos avail of the best selfie phone in the market.”

OPPO partnered with Home Credit earlier this year to offer the F1 at zero percent installments.
