PayMaya: Easy Does It Cash Free SM Shopping

by Edsel Lorete / http//inslashout.wordpress.com / http://inslashout.blog.com

Everybody shops, particularly the SM Malls. It is the most publicly accessible shopping mall there is throughout the Philippines, particularly in Metro Manila. But with everybody shopping so goes the line on the cashier. PayMaya can help you get around that stressful experience through cashless payment. You heard me right! The Smart powered cashless payment system is already available in SM Department Stores. We have tried using PayMaya to our unexpected convenience. While there is a paying line to begin with this is shortlived. PayMaya makes use of QR Code to purchase. How does it work? Well, it all boils down to your smartphone. PayMaya is basically an application you can download for free on either an Apple or Android device. We have tried Smart prepaid data to download this particular cashless payment app in less than two minutes. The app requires a one-time registration along with your Smartphone cellular/ mobile number, which means app works with app working your phone. It requires, apart for your user name (and please be honest stating name because system is Bangko Sentral monitored), your phone number and e-mail address. The e-mail addres is not a requirement, but it is helpful having that submitted in cases you want to activate PayMaya account from another device. The QR code is an imprint normally found in the SM counter. Payment works when you digitally scan QR Code from your smartphone, which then re-direct sale to PayMaya application. The application is uniquely consumer friendly. Why is that? Well, for starters it comes with auditing features that accounts for how much money comes in and debited in real time. It is a printable data you can access while app is active, letting you efficiently track all your PayMaya coursed expenditures with notification. We bought a few items from the SM Department store to which case each item debited sale reflected immediately when we checked app for credit balance. It cuts through the printed receipts whose itemized sale get easily erased in a weeks time. PayMaya keeps you updated 24/7 whenever you are on-line the account would text you for any changes in your account balance. In case when system is down or when broadband access becomes poor, you can shift to a physical PayMaya debit card you can request a designated Smart stores for about P100/card. PayMaya accounts reflect same PIN code use for QR Coding and PayMaya Card. PayMaya’s cashless payment can be used for MRT/ LRT access, pay for bills and it is a convenient way to send cash to your relatives in the province. Accounted credit, despite the card having credit card features, is interest free. It provides a secure way of transacting without needing money at all. If you are Facebook Messenger dependent, particularly for business and communicating with working overseas, your PayMaya account can be link to your social media that way you lean on a single social media platform for same service you enjoy on the PayMaya application. Transferring PayMaya credit to another account is swift, making it easy for us to holiday shop in two cashier counters. PayMaya accounts are coded for added security system emails account holder when account is detected in another mobile device before password gets honored. It is dual layer of protection that is great with people who have two or more devices for business, social media transactions. Cashless transaction in SM is relatively faster, with tellers knowedgeable of the QR Code process, which we have yet try when buying or reserving movie tickets. PayMaya, along with the QR Code and card adoption for malls, is a convenient alternative to cash payments particularly during the Christmas holiday season. What is best about PayMay offers a 50% rebate in transaction each time you use QR Code in SM Malls, Robinson Malls and partner convenience store Mini Stop. Consumers can avail perks each time they refer a new PayMaya account holder. Check it out!

PayMaya introduces cashless shopping for Robinsons Malls

by E. Lorete / http://inslashout.wordpress.com / http://inslashout.blog.com

Enjoy shopping without using cash! That is the trend digital cash debit companies like PayMaya brings to Filipinos wanting more secure cash payments without having to use cash. Cashless transaction is already the accepted purchase transaction mode in shopping malls in Southeast Asia. In the Philippines, one of the first shopping malls to accept that payment system through PayMaya is Robinsons Malls. We have tried the convemient payment alternative to cash, and we found that it is relatively faster and safer that paying in cash. Why is that? First of all cash is prone to theft. In order to get cash you either have to withdraw from bank teller or an ATM machine. Either choices are riddled with long lines, and so is shopping. But PayMaya, counting our holiday shopping experience with the Smart powered system, works better and faster. It uses what telcos call a QR Code that can be scanned to activate digital cashless payment. With QR codes to work, and this went just fine during our rush hour shopping spree with Robinsons Malls, consumers need to download the PayMaya application first. It takes relative two minutes (or less) downloading app on a prepaid phone unlimited data. It needs a one-time registration using your smart cell number with a designated e-mail address to activate a PayMaya membership in your name. It needs to have your legitimate name to get your PayMaya from any Smart store, partciularly those centered in Quezon City Malls, Makati and BGC. Once PayMaya is activated then you can load card like you would a prepaid mobile sim. You can do that from Smart’s partner convenience store MiniStop, depending on valuation you need to use the card with for shopping. Once filled PayMaya is ready to scan a QR Code, which is that puzzle looking imprint you focus phone camera for code scanning, to make department store purchases. It is quick, easy and conveniently secure. Why is that again? Well, first of all PayMaya cards are encrypted to your name and cell number. It is operated with a specific PIN number for mobile activation. While other payment system you can use with other smartphons with PayMaya app, system strictly verifies any changes with a code sent to your dsignated cell number before you can even use your PayMaya account user nam and password. It is that safe, and should you forgt to log out of your account the system signs out automatically after detecting inactivity. Buying with QR Codes is shopper friendly because all you need to do is scan QR at cashier counter and the rest gets you the receipt for validation. Should system get stalled PayMaya coms with a card option you can swipe with coded pin for physical purchase. Experience cuts about 20 minutes of paying time using your smartphone, if not PayMaya debit card. It is great for people shopping with their children, perhaps an elderly who does not have patience for lengthy hours malling. What is great about PayMaya is that while account does hav credit card features it remains a debit card you can fill money without incurring charges, like a digital wallet outsid your wallet. QR Code sale is great for quick buys, for people who wants to buy and go instead of lining for hours in the usual cash frenzy counters. QR codes can eventually evolve into sari sari stores and vendors for single product sales like an ice cram cone, a fresh beverage for the same price without padding interest. What you only need to do, for extra security, is to change PIN regularly. This avoids phising alterations digitally, avoiding illegal debits. In case PayMaya account get disabled or when it dos an error transaction, and this is frequent with lengthy holiday mall sales, you can proceed to any Smart outlet to access hotline for customer assistance. Card and app uses same password for transactions. PayMaya is likewise offering as much as 50% rebate in purchases using this Smart Communications powered system along with perks that gives you P50 for every social media friend you can share promo, open a PayMaya account.

GCash dominates Philippine retail e-payment landscape with over 4,000 QRs deployed nationwide

Cashless payment will soon be the norm for purchases in the Philippines. It is not just for malls but for convenience stores and retails outlets then down to the barangay sari sri stores in your neighborhood. Globe GCash is getting to that level faster than you can possibly imagine. It is worth trying, and it is definitely safer than paying in cash. Inslashout tells you why with this feature from Globe Telecom.

GCash dominated the Philippine retail e-payment landscape in 2017 with over 4,000 QRs deployed nationwide, a testament to the growing number of merchants who believe in the capability of GCash to usher in cashless payments in the country.

A mobile wallet service offered by Mynt, a financial technology company owned by Globe Telecom, Ant Financial and Ayala Corp, GCash has been relentless in helping Filipinos get used to a cashless lifestyle and has been bullish in its vision to create an inclusive cashless environment in the Philippines. E-payments provide safety and convenience when shopping for goods and services as people need not carry around loads of cash anymore.

In August this year, GCash introduced the scan to pay feature in the GCash App that allowed customers to pay by simply scanning QR (quick response) codes of merchants.

“With the GCash scan to pay feature, we bring in technology that lowers the cost of transactions. By enabling merchants to accept payments at virtually no cost, we are actually creating convenience for the merchants and translating that benefit back to the customers and that’s how it becomes more accessible for everyone” said Anthony Thomas, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mynt.

“Before, you need a POS or a reader for the cards acceptance. But today, we eliminate all that. With GCash, you can pay without cash. That’s the convenience that we bring to our customers,” he added.

To date, QR payments across different merchants all over the country have been deployed successfully, transforming the local retail scene into a cashless landscape.

More than 4,000 GCash QRs are now being accepted in various merchants nationwide, including the biggest players in the retail industry such as Ayala Malls, Robinsons Department Store, SM Malls, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls Cinema, Puregold, Ministop, and NCCC Malls.

Other merchants where customers can pay using the GCash QRs are:

 *SSI Group, which carries an extensive portfolio of established international brands such as Banana Republic, Beauty Bar, Jimmy Choo, Burberry, Gap, Bally, Calvin Klein, Clinique;

*Max’s Group, the largest casual dining restaurant company in the country. It includes Max’s Restaurant, Krispy Kreme, Kabisera, Pancake House, Yellow Cab, Teriyaki Boy, Jamba Juice, Dencio’s, Sizzling Steak; and,

*Bench Group, which includes Bench, Human, Kashieca, Aldo, Charles & Keith, Cotton On, American Eagle.

Smaller sellers located at celebrity bazaar destination Noel Bazaar and food haven Mercato Centrale have also adopted the cashless payment option.

Over the next few months, GCash will continue to lead the way in promoting a cashless ecosystem in the country by aggressively rolling out the use of the scan to pay feature in other locations nationwide. This is aimed at encouraging more people to use it in day-to-day shopping, dining, entertainment, and other activities.

To start enjoying the benefits of the GCash scan to pay feature, customers must download the app for free from the App Store or Google Playstore and register an account. Once installed, customers can cash-in or reload at any GCash kiosk and digital payment booth in Globe Stores, and in over 12,000 GCash Partner Outlets such as Robinson’s Business Centers, SM Business Centers, Puregold branches, 7-Eleven Cliqq kiosks, and TouchPay kiosks, among others.

Through the QR-based mobile payment system, customers can shop by just scanning the QR codes displayed by partner merchants and establishments. With the new smartphone application, there will be no need for customers to carry around wads of cash. It makes purchasing the latest fashion items or paying services more convenient and secure while eliminating the chance of having misunderstandings over payments and getting the wrong change. With GCash, shoppers can skip long lines, keep track of their expenses and minimize the risk of theft, all through the use of their smartphones.

Cashless convenience with PayMaya on your next MiniStop visit

by E. Lorete / http://inslashout.wordpress.com / http://inslashout.blog.com

Tired of needing cash for purchases? A trip to an atm would do wonders but finding one in the middle of the festive Christmas shopping holiday these days can be tasking – if not impossible without experiencing wrong debit. PayMaya could avert that spectacle with its expanding QR Code cashless payment you can use anytime – and I mean 24/7. I am talking about using PayMaya, which is powered by Smart Communication, in a convenience store. Yes, PayMaya has extended its QR Code cashless payment to convenience store chain Mini Stop. It is a welcome alternative to paying cash, which is best avoided during sales or in crowded places where theft is rampant. PayMaya’s QR Code works with your smartphones scanner, which then executes debiting service through PayMaya’s screen application. The mobile application, which is free for downloading on either Apple or Android devices, is easy to activate even with pre-paid which Smart noticeably improved data access for mobile users. It means that even with user surge, and this is particularly true when plying the long EDSA traffic rhoute, you get to experience smooth internet service. What that translastes for PayMaya users is fast transactions. When I purchased sandwhiches along with warm coffee the transaction relatively took less than five minutes without fuss. What I simply needed to do, and this works conveniently with your Android and Apple devices, is to scan the QR Code from the store counter to specifically make specific purchase. It cuts through the hassle of getting money from your wallet, what more finding the right change when counter is out of small bills. What is worse with wallet, and this happened to me during trip stops to Bicol, getting lost without notice. You would not want that happening while shopping! Speaking of shopping, PayMaya we have found to be safer in making on-line purchases even with your mobile device on pre-paid data. QR codes works similarly faster with PayMaya, which you can avail registering simply your Smart, Sun or TNT cell numbers with its application. It is a one-time registration, and once that is been executed you can actually send or receive money from this PayMaya account without incurring interest charges. MiniStop lets you reload PayMaya digitally to any account designated. I find that useful sending loads to my relatives anytime of the day. QR Codes lead purchases is good because you get to pay exact amount of item in purchase. Accounting for purchases is rendered real time through the application. App provides a printable accounting booking so you can see how much money is coming in, debited exactly within the day. While PayMaya’s is relatively convenient the Smart powered app’s services has been extended to Facebook Messaging. I welcome the extension since it makes transactions easier using a single social media platform, since most Filipinos transact personal and business while socially chatting on-line. PayMaya is relatively user friendly, even for minors using PayMaya card (or app) to receive simple things like school allowances. App perfectly teaches children, who are exposed to cashless payment, to do simple accounting to mind what they spend through their mobile devices. While PayMaya does have its credit features inset it is relatively a debit card you can use to swipe for fees riding the MRT. It does not have hidden charges. PayMaya account is relatively stricted (unless authorized) to a smartphone it was originally used with payment. It is protected with alpha numeric passcode you need to change every now and then for security purposes. In cases when sale error is debited to account PayMaya includes a hotline for consumers, and I have learned there is even a landline for customer support from any Smart store outlet you can use for problems with your PayMaya account. PayMaya lets you shop with your smartphone, if not a designated atm card that allows you to either debit, send or purchase mobile loads and more conveniently get cash traditionally from ATM. PayMaya is offering 50 percent cashless transact rebate this holiday season. Inslashout suggest checking that out, lessen your holiday expenses and maybe even earn some more when you refer PayMaya to your social media friends.
